The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto: Luxury on Cloud Nine

Who ever said a staycation can’t feel just as luxe as an out-of-town trip? Whether you’re visiting Toronto or simply looking for ideas for your next staycation, a trip to the Four Seasons is a must.

In my opinion, the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is the best in the city. Its the first hotel in Canada to be awarded both the AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star ratings, and I would highly recommend if you plan on spending some time in Toronto. Its Yorkville location is perfectly situated in the heart of the city’s best shopping, the service is some of the best I’ve experienced, and the spa is no exception.

The Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is tucked away on the 9th floor of the hotel. Peaceful doesn’t begin to describe its dreamy atmosphere – it really is the closest you’ll get to cloud nine. Warning! If you plan on heading to this reprieve above the city, make sure to give yourself plenty of time to enjoy all that the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto has to offer.

Your visit will go a little something like this. Following a brief tour, after tucking in to your comfy robe and slippers, spend a bit of time unwinding in the relaxation lounge where you can enjoy refreshing herbal tea or cool water and a few moments to sink in to the peaceful atmosphere. No rushing is key here – I would give yourself at least 45 minutes before your treatment to soak up all of the relaxing vibes to fully enjoy the experience.

Next, my advice is to spend some time in the steam room to open up your pores and get your skin ready for any treatments. When it comes time for your treatment, you’ll be lead down a quiet hallway into your private treatment room. One of my favourite things about the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto is that it is so quiet. All of the sounds of the outside world are completely shut out, as if you’re in your own personal chamber of relaxation.

Treatments I recommend:

LTB (Lighten, Tighten & Brighten) Peel

If I could only have one spa treatment, it would be facials. They are some of my favourite ways to feel pampered. That said, I can be very selective when it comes to facials and definitely don’t recommend just about anything. It has to be really good if it’s going to get my stamp of approval.

Dullness and congestion can always be improved, and if I’m going to get a facial I want to walk away with a feeling that I’ve done something great for my skin (not to mention a visible glow). This is why I love the LTB from the Spa at Four Seasons Toronto so much. Just like its name implies, this intense, four-layer peel combines fruit enzymes and vitamin C to leave your skin glowing like you’ve never seen. The best part? Each of the four layer masks are massaged into the skin using rose quartz crystals. So relaxing I doze off every time.

Deep Tissue Massage

Who doesn’t like to unwind with a massage? Unless you’re not into pressure, I find you can never really go to wrong with a deep tissue. I highly recommend seeing Fiona at the Spa at For Seasons Hotel Toronto for any massage treatments (her hands are literally magic!). I always find myself stepping off of the massage table feeling totally relaxed and renewed.

Do you have any favourite spas you’ve visited? Let me know in the comments below. I’m always looking for the best spa experience whenever I visit a new city!

I’ve never been to the Four Seasons spa. Sounds like a dream though, I’ll have to stop in one day and see Fiona for a massage. Great post Elle! I love reading about Toronto from others, I always learn something new. 🙂
